Janice Cutler, North Raleigh Florist and Cary Florist
After many years in marketing, Janice Cutler discovered the world of horticulture. Moving to North Carolina, an area rich in agriculture, she decided to pursue further education through NC State, the Southeast Florida School of Floral Design, and as a “workerbee” at a local nursery and florist. She then purchased and ran a local florist shop from 1996until 2001, when she sold the business to focus on raising her family. After devoting seven years to raising her children, Janice decided to return to her business passion, and opened North Raleigh Florist.
Since 2007, Janice has grown her business 60% in a declining industry. The Woman’s Advantage® Forum helped her create a plan to capitalize on growing niche markets where market share was available. With this plan, Janice opened a second, sister location within the region. As a result of what she learned in The Woman’s Advantage® Forum, Janice has been able to pinpoint the areas for growth and opportunity.
