Mary Elizabeth Beal can’t remember a time when interior design was not a part of her life. Her mom tells the story of three-year old Mary Elizabeth moving furniture from one spot to another to improve the look. By elementary school, she was saving her allowance for home décor items like bedspreads and artwork. Since then she’s decorated spaces from Vegas to North Carolina.
But Mary Elizabeth is not trying to create just another pretty space. Her goal is to positively impact the way clients use, work and live in their spaces; to solve problems, promote health and life, improve organization and practical usefulness, and yes, look amazing. Rather than imposing her personal design style on clients, she gets to know them on a psychological, physiological, and often, spiritual level. From there she visualizes and designs a space that is truly their own.
With more than 15 years of experience in residential, hospitality and showroom design, Mary Elizabeth has a string of certifications following her name. But she never had the time to focus on her most important job, that of building the business. And that is what The Woman’s Advantage® Forum has given her: the opportunity to regularly step back from client work to focus on strategically developing her business. As a result, she now has short-term and long-term plans enabling her to double her earnings in three years, and then again within five. Nine months into the program she finds her business at project capacity and is in the process of hiring additional employees.
