5 Ways to Be a More Effective Leader
1. Take care of your body.
You are much more effective when you’re healthy and alert. You know what it takes in terms of diet and exercise to get there. Just Do It!
2. Keep a Gratitude Journal.
Each morning write out five things you’re thankful for. If you expect a day to be more challenging than usual, make a list of 10.
3. Define your top three tasks.
As you start your work day, make a list of the three most important tasks you need to accomplish. Complete those three before tackling anything else.
4. Try 50 ON/10 OFF.
Forget multi-tasking. Use a timer to work on one task for 50 minutes; then take a 10-minute break.
5. Close your workday with positive reflection.
At the end of the day ask, “What went well and how can I do more of it?”
