Studies show that you can make just about anything happen if you first visualize it happening. So why aren’t we all visualizing everything we want. It could be that most of us don’t know where to start. Here’s a quick five-step process for visualization.
Five-Step Process for Visualization
1. Find a quiet place.
Shut off the phone and close the door so you aren’t interrupted.
2. Think of one goal you want to achieve.
Pick an important goal that has been eluding you.
3. Close your eyes and picture what it will look like when you achieve your goal.
Imagine what your world will be like after you’ve achieved your goal.
4. Mentally walk through all the steps to achieve your goal.
Imagine all the steps you have to go through to get to your goal, one by one. At this point, see yourself going through each step, as though watching a video of it actually happening. Who is in the video with you, helping you? What resources are you using?
5. Feel yourself achieving the goal.
How do you feel? Are you ready to get started?
