A surefire way to increase your revenue is to make it as easy as possible for customers and prospects to do business with you. Here are five ways to do just that.

1. Eliminate what they hate.

Conduct focus groups and brainstorming sessions with your best clients to find out what they hate about your industry. Figure out ways to eliminate those issues.

2. Make it easy for them to reach you.

Provide both phone and email info in an easy-to-find location on your website. Consider having an 800 number.

3. Be accessible.

What happens if a customer needs to reach you during off hours and weekends? Create an accessibility plan that works for your customers’ schedule rather than for yours.

4. Provide real customer service.

Be sure your front-line people understand what customer service is all about. Train them on phone etiquette and conflict management.

5. Follow up.

After you help your customers with a problem, either call or email to be sure their problem was truly solved.
