Last week we looked at some questions to ask your customers. This week, research your company from the inside out by asking your staff what they think.
Be sure they know that you’re not looking for the “life is wonderful” answer here, but the real truth—the good, the bad and the ugly!
Here are a few questions to start with.
5 Questions to Ask Your Staff
1. What’s the best thing about working for our company?
This one will be easy to ask and should be easy for them to answer. Leading with a positive question will get you off on the right foot.
2. What’s the worst?
Yeah, this is a hard question. But if they answer honestly, it could make a significant difference in your business.
3. What makes you proud of our company?
You may find it interesting to hear the variety of responses you receive on this one.
4. If you were running this company, what would you do differently?
They’re probably already talking about this behind your back, so get it out in the open.
5. If you could change one thing about me as the head of this company, what would it be?
If they’re honest with you, this can provide the opportunity for some real personal growth.
